Books bound by hand, one at a time.
We sew, case and finish books in a small studio above a former haberdashery. Journals, guest books, family recipes and damaged favourites: if it has pages, we can give it a spine that lasts.

Common questions.
How long does a binding take?
Most cloth bindings are ready in two to three weeks. Leather work and restoration take four to six, depending on the book.
Can you bind loose or printed pages?
Yes. Bring them folded or flat. We will advise on paper grain, margins and how the book will open before we sew anything.
Do you ship?
Books are packed flat in acid-free tissue and sent tracked. Collection from the studio is always free.
Can I watch the work?
Come on a Saturday. The kettle is usually on and the glue pot is never far.
